What to expect in therapy

My goal for clients is to help you explore your anxious thoughts and learn to think in more flexible, realistic ways so that you can hear your fears, but you can manage them. We will also work with the tough emotions you are experiencing, and learn skills that can help you manage difficult emotions in a way that is more effective for you, your relationships, and your life. I also focus on strategies for communication and interpersonal effectiveness to help build and strengthen your connections with others. 

 

In our first intake session, I’ll get a sense of what your needs are and where I can help. I believe the foundation of good therapy begins with a supportive relationship where you feel seen, heard, and accepted. I will meet you where you are and move at your pace. We will build a sense of hope and momentum through small steps.
